Texas State Representative Dan Branch visited the Park Cities YMCA on Thursday afternoon, November 13th to see some of the great things happening at in around the Park Cities YMCA.

Representative Branch was greeted by several of the representatives from the YMCA including Gordon Echtenkamp, Dallas YMCA’s President/CEO, Gregg Pappas, Park Cities YMCA Executive Director, Jim Elliot, Park Cities YMCA Board Chair, and YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas Board Members Gail Madden and Gray Mayes. Representative Branch’s visit gave the YMCA a chance to showcase how they have continued to be such an important partner in building strong kids and families in the Park Cities community.

Representative Branch had the opportunity to visit with the children in the YMCA Kindergarten Readiness Program.  The children presented the Representative framed artwork they prepared thanking him for “branching out”.  Branch was impressed with the YMCA’s continued commitment to the mission of the organization and ability to reach out and impact so many people’s lives.

Earlier in the day, representative Branch spoke at the Park Cities YMCA Partner’s Campaign Major Gift Kickoff at the Park Cities Club.  Branch shared the wonderful memories he and his children experienced through the sports and Adventure Guide Programs through the Park Cities YMCA.
