From the beginning in 1885 the Dallas YMCA has been dedicated to helping young people live a healthier and fuller life. Much has changed in our city but one thing has remained constant – the YMCA’s missions and commitment to helping the children and families of this community.
Over the last year the YMCA history has been explored for this documentary from a dusty old box just waiting to be explored to letters, interviews and hundreds of memories retold. What was discovered was not only a strong proud history of the YMCA but that each and everyday the story continues to unfold through the hundred of thousand members of the YMCA – it truly is History in the Making.
