Facility Update
We are pleased to announce that we have received approval of our building project by the University Park City Council. While this is a major development and the next step in our progression of getting a new YMCA built; we know there will be many steps ahead before we can break ground.
• Our fundraising efforts are underway with the YMCA Board of Management in a $28 million dollar Capital Campaign, which could be a one to two year process.
• We will remain in our current building until 80% of pledges are secured.
• Once we begin construction of the new building, we will relocate to an interim facility somewhere in the Park Cities community and operate there until the new Y is completed. The YMCA anticipates the physical facility being closed for 11-14 months for construction.
We are excited to begin to move towards a new YMCA that can better serve you our members and the Park Cities community with a project of which we can all be proud.
