Group Exercise Class Descriptions
Active Older Adults (AOA) & Silver Sneakers Classes, Prime Time: This Active Older Adult class will challenge your usual routine by aadding a dynamic cardis and strength workout to music. This is a great way to increase your fitness level and bone density. All levels welcome.
Silver Sneakers Muscular Range of Motion: Designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
Yoga Stretch: Class taught from a sitting and standing position to enhance flow and energy created in combination with restorative breathing exercises. It increases flexibility and balance to improve one's sense of well being.
Cardio Step: Step away calories to fun music and improve cardiovascular fitness with emphasis on the legs and glueus, followed by 15 minutes of strength exercises.
Kickboxing: Kick, dance, groove and have fun using the latest kickboxing drills and skills.
Spin: Need motivation? Get excited about losing weight as you burn calories pedaling to the music in this studio cycling class.
Zumba: Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow participants to dance away their worries! Heat things up with the hottest Latin music and moves.
Zumba Toning: Zumba Toning utilizes one and two pound weights to achieve long, lean muscles wile dancing to motivating music with unique moves and combinations.
Buff and Tuff: Maximize your efforts; this strength sclass will target muscles you didn't know you had! Using barbells, dumbells, and resistance equipment. This class will sculpt the new you.
Tabata: 20 seconds on 10 seconds off intense 30 minute workout set to increase strength and metabolism by working all major muscle groups using interval training.
Fit Bodies: Introduction to weight lifting class. Students may work at their own pace. All levels welcome.
Jump Start: Utilize circuits and weights for a powerful workout. Interval training burns fat and increases strength. Last 15 minutes will be used for stretching and cool down.
Zumba Sentao: Chair based workout builds core strength. Taught from a standing and sitting position.
Silver Sneakers®: The Silver Sneakers classes are strength and conditioning classes designed for Medicare-eligible individuals. The classes are easy on your joints and appropriate for individuals who regularly exercise, as well as those who may not have exercised in years. The exercises are designed to improve your strength and flexibility, and your ability to perform activities, such as getting out of your car or lifting your grandchildren. Everyone welcome!
Silver Sneakers Cardio Circuit: Increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball, is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support.
Silver Sneakers® Yoga Stretch - A custom designed class were participants will have fun as they safely improve their balance, learn restorative breathing techniques and functional skills and abilities through a variety of seated and standing yoga poses.
Spirit, Mind & Body Classes
Yoga: Learn various postures, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques, while increasing your flexibility and muscle tone. All levels welcome.
Pilates: Class will help increase flexibility and range of motion. Great for all levels.
