Fitness Orientation

Life can be confusing, your workout shouldn't be.



Orientation

All new members using the fitness equipment are encouraged to schedule an orientation in order to learn proper technique and safe usage of the machines.

Our orientations familiarize you with different cardiovascular and strength training machines. By appointment, a trainer demonstrates proper form and body alignment, and offers suggestions for weight, pace and repetitions. During this orientation, your trainer will set you up on MobileFit, "a personal trainer in a box" (see below). This orientation ensures you will have positive progress. Please wear comfortable clothing such as shorts/pants, t-shirt, and athletic shoes, as this will be a 1 hour session. Appointments can be arranged by calling the Waxahachie Family YMCA.

High school sports to sitting around watching TV to a regular routine including competitive adult softball, fitness classes and weight training. I’ve “been there” and now here to show you how to get started. As a person who does orientations, it’s my job to show you it is possible to get a good routine going via the MobileFit system as well as lead you to personal training if you choose to seek it. Feeling good about working out starts with knowing how to use the equipment and reminding you that it’s all about you and your comfort level with the equipment.
