Every summer we create new experiences for thousands of youth and teens. From traditional summer camps that encourage kids to explore new adventures, to preschool camps where campers participate in themed weeks with special guests and family events, hands-on learning, and some splash time, all in a fun and safe environment  planned throughout the summer. Camp Buffalo Creek (5-12 yrs)

Traditional Day Camps offered by the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas are licensed under the Texas Department of Safety and Health Services (TDSHS). These camps host activities that replicate a residential camp experience without having to stay the night. Camps focus on building character by nurturing the potential of each child and encouraging social responsibility. Lunch and snacks are provided. Kids spend 60% of their time outdoors.

Times: 7:00 am - 6:30 pm

Location: Waxahachie Family YMCA

Camp Grady Spruce (7-16 yrs)

Overnight camp adventures! Established in 1949, YMCA Camp Grady Spruce is located 100 miles West of Dallas on stunningly beautiful Possum Kingdom Lake. Campers ages 7 - 16 learn to wakeboard, waterski, sail, horseback ride and more. Camp is far more than beautiful scenery and fun activities. Camp is a place where kids are cared for and encouraged to be who they were created to be. Campers build confidence and independence, try new things, form strong friendships, experience Christian values role modeled by a caring staff, and make lasting memories.
