Specialty Camps
Specialty Camps offer focused and experimental learning adventures for children in the arts, sciences, physical fitness as well as other unique areas of interest. They're typically 2-4 hours and are only offered certain weeks throughout the summer. From Robotics and building motor cars to musical and theater aspirations, our Specialty Camps create opportunities for your child to have fun while growing and thriving.
Dallas Summer Musicals
A Year With Frog and Toad
Waking from hibernation in the spring, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding, and learn life lessons along the way. The two best friends celebrate and rejoice in their differences that make them unique and special. Part vaudeville, part make believe, all charm, A Year with Frog and Toad tells the story of a friendship that endures, weathering all seasons. The jazzy, upbeat score bubbles with melody and wit, making it an inventive, exuberant, and enchanting musical.

GREASE
It’s all about Rydell High School’s senior class of 1959 with the hot-rodding "Burger Palace Boys" and the "Pink Ladies" in their bobby sox and pedal pushers. Together they evoke the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive their romance of thesummer as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as "Greased Lightnin'", "It's Raining on Prom Night", "Alone at the Drive-In Movie" recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation. An 8-year run on Broadway and two subsequent revivals along with a film version and innumerable school and community productions place Grease among the world's most popular musicals.
Script rating is PG-13 for mild adult themes.

Honk! Jr.
Let the kids have a Broadway blast this June in a musical theater class taught by instructors from Dallas Summer Musicals Academy of Performing Arts. In this camp, students concentrate on Broadway style dance training and singing skills with a professional choreographer and music director.
No theatrical experience is necessary to participate. Most costumes and props will be supplied by DSM Academy and some may be borrowed from home.

Art Think
Each Art Think lesson consists of a group of images based on a common theme. The art presented has been carefully selected to represent a diversity of artists and styles. The final lesson is a visit to Dallas Contemporary.
