Meet the New Coppell Y Directors: Brooklynn Petito, Associate Membership Director

Brooklyn

Often seen behind the Membership Desk at the Coppell Family YMCA entrance is the new Associate Membership Director, Brooklynn Petito. In this position, she manages the membership staff, who greet and check in those who enter the Y. Her goal is to provide training support and resources to the membership staff so that members will feel confident receiving information from the front desk.

Brooklynn also oversees the annual campaign. With a 2023 goal of raising $125,000, the donated funds are returned to the community by assisting families and individuals participating in Y programs. The campaign kicks off in January and runs through March with the YMCA Day of Giving scheduled on March 7, 2023. Brooklynn’s plans include many creative activities scheduled throughout the campaign.

Originally from Tampa, Fla., Brooklynn has lived in Keller for 17 years, graduating from Byron Nelson High School in Trophy Club. She currently attends Tarrant County College online working on her Associate of Arts degree, making the Dean’s List (3.9 GPA) every semester. She plans to continue her education at a four-year university.

Brooklynn joined the Y in October 2021 as a Member Service Representative. She was quickly moved to Association Customer Support at the end of December 2021. She was promoted to her current position on August 1.

As a professional, she has learned, “Don’t sweat the small stuff.” She encourages her staff to give more than others expect to receive.

When not at the Y, Brooklynn enjoys cooking Italian food, and “hanging” with friends and family, especially during “Game Night” (Ask her about her favorite game).  She also likes traveling and hiking, primarily spending time outside.
