DALLAS YMCA TURKEY TROT HAS SOMETHING NEW FOR KIDS IN 2018!

For more than 5 decades, friends and families have made the Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot their Thanksgiving tradition.  On Thursday, November 22nd, nearly 25,000 participants are expected to come to Dallas City Hall Plaza for the 8-mile race and 5K fun run and new for 2018, the Junior Trot 1K for 6-11 year old’s. The Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot benefits YMCA programs that help the YMCA to strengthen the foundation of community.

The new Junior Trot, a 1K race designed especially for kids age 6 – 11. All Jr Trotter will receive a special finisher medal, a Turkey Trot t-shirt, and a goody bag. Junior Trotters will line up at City Hall Plaza (at the "8 mile finish line"), run west onto Marilla street, take a left on Young Street to the Griffin Street intersection, u-turn, and race back to the Finish Line at City Hall Plaza! Each registered Junior Trotter can have one registered adult or companion Turkey Trotter run with him/her for no additional charge. For kids that want to do the shorter race, the Junior Trot price is $25. A combo registration is also available and includes Junior Trot and the 5K/8 Mile Turkey Trot. The combo package allows the child to do the Jr Trot and then run/walk with their families in the 5k or 8 Mile.
