Runway for Rise
The Ashford Rise School of Dallas is proud to have presented its first Runway For Rise fashion show and luncheon on Saturday, May 5th, 2018. Nearly 250 guests were in attendance at The Adolphus Hotel. The luncheon began with an extensive silent auction, chances to win fantastic raffle prizes and the signature "Mystery Boxes" for sale. A seated, three-course menu had a Cinco De Mayo flair and was met with rave reviews, but the fashionable student models stole the show! Each model wore an outfit donated by regional boutiques and walked the runway with their fathers or special friends. The Reverend Perryn Rice played emcee and patiently guided our presentation with stories and photos of each child. It was a heartwarming afternoon!
Preliminary donations and sponsorships, totaling more than $40,000.00, were added to the additional funds raised at the event, including a generous $10,000.00 match offered by Moody Family YMCA Board Member, Barry Rosenberg, in honor of his late mother, Elaine Rosenberg. The gross total topped $100,000 and we could not be more grateful to the Rise School staff, teachers, parents, volunteers and attendees eager to return next year!
