SEPTEMBER IS THE NEW JANUARY

September a fresh start, a new beginning  -- time to get serious, buckle down, get back to work or workouts.  So that makes September a great time to make some resolutions recommit- start again.  September marks a time of change in how we live, what we buy and what goals we set. Families put routines back in place, enforce bedtimes and pack lunches. People clear clutter out and vow to plan and cook healthy meals.

Set goals to start or change up your fitness routine. Getting up and starting with a new exercise routine can be easier now than it will be in January. If you already have that routine in place the fall can be a great time to mix things up. You may need to find new indoor alternatives for early morning or evenings that now have less light. Or it could just be a good time to get in workouts that you don’t normally  gravitate toward like strength training or flexibility.  The Y offers a wide variety of group Ex classes like:  Barre, Kickboxing, Yoga, Cycling, Zumba, Bootcamps, Pilates, Les Mills BODYPUMP™ and Les Mills BODYCOMBAT™. Need a super easy way to get started? Check out the variety of classes offered at your Y!

CLASS SCHEDULES

Get started now, and by the time January 1st rolls around, you’ll already be well-ahead of the resolution-makers and feeling fit. You’ll have made exercise and food habits that become a part of your lifestyle.  Make September more than just a back to school routine.
