The Moody Family YMCA offers a variety of family friendly programming with a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
The Y is for everyone. Our programs and services enable kids to realize their potential, offer ways for families to have fun together and empowers people to be healthier.
Whether you want to lose weight and gain confidence in a group exercise or swimming class, relax in yoga, become a lifeguard or master a martial art, you can do it at the Y. Interested in child care, youth sports, summer camp or arts programs for the kids? We’ve got all that and much more.
Active Older Adults
The YMCA has developed several activities to encourage and motivate mature adults to take action, get engaged and establish a stronger community of friends through the Y.
While activities with the whole family are important, we see tremendous value in supporting and strengthening the ability of a father and child to communicate at an early age. The YMCA Adventure Guides program is designed to strengthen the relationship and bond between father and child.
Every summer we offer new experiences and create day camp activities for hundreds of youth. In addition to our traditional day camps, the YMCA offers two year-round camps, Camp Grady Spruce (resident and family retreat camp) and Collin County Adventure Camp. Camp on the Lake is a premier waterfront day camp environment created just for kids.
Child care at the Y is about more than looking after kids. It’s about nurturing their development by providing a safe place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance.
Dallas Summer Musicals
Musical Theatre offers students Broadway-style dance, vocal training, performance experience, a sense of accomplishment and a whole lot of fun!
This class is for children ages 4-7 who do not know how to ride their bicycle. Participants will learn the basics of balancing, starting, stopping and steering a bike.
Health and Wellness
The YMCA health and wellness programs help people at any stage of life build positive health habits. Participation in YMCA programs offers youth and adults opportunities to develop friendship and community and a sense of well-being.
Sports and fitness activities have always been at the core of YMCA programming. YMCA sports teach values and character building that can become the very foundation of a person's life.
Youth & Government
A nation-wide YMCA program in which students learn the mechanics of government and the media by participating in hands-on activities in their club at their school or local Y.
