Soccer

Moody YMCA Soccer Program is offered in the fall and spring seasons.  It helps kids become not only better soccer players, but better people as well. Youth soccer is a progressive program, with multiple age-specific levels. We encourage fair play, positive competition, and family involvement. Unlike most club soccer leagues the Y has no tryouts so all kids can experience soccer in a fun friendly level playing field that allows all player to have fun. 

Participants should register based on the calendar grade of Fall 2023 to end of Summer 2024 school year.

ALL SPRING 2024 TEAMS WILL RETURN FROM THE FALL 2023 SEASON. NEW PLAYERS WILL BE PLACED AS ROSTER SIZE PERMITS. The YMCA reserves the right to add to any player(s) to a roster if necessary.

Participants will be contacted by your coach after the coaches' meeting with practice and game schedules.

Soccer Youth League

*Dates may be subject to change due to field availability and weather.

Required: all participants must wear shin guards.

Divisions are by grades.

Ball size:

• PreK/Kinder: 3
• 1st to 6th: 4
• 7th+: 5

Players on the field:

• PreK4 & Kinder: 5

• 1st-3rd Grade: 7

• 4th-6th Grade: 9

Locations of games are at Moody Family YMCA, HPISD schools, local parks and other nearby YMCA branches.

Practices are located at Moody Family YMCA, HPISD schools and local parks.

Friend, coach and practice request are not accepted at the time of registration and are not guaranteed.  The YMCA reserves the right to add to any player(s) to a roster if necessary.

Coaches: Are volunteers that must register for a Criminal Background Check with Athlete Protection training. If you are interested in coaching please indicate so on your registration form and click on the link of Volunteer Coach on the left sidebar.
