"The Highland Park Scots Football program, and the Highland Park ISD athletic department, recommend that HPISD students and other Park Cities community members who want to play tackle football participate in the Moody Family YMCA's 6-man football program. As compared to 11-man football, 6-man football provides more opportunities for each player to gain valuable experience throwing, catching, running, blocking, and tackling, and provides a safer environment for our community's children to learn proper football techniques. Moody Family YMCA tackle football coaches are certified in the Heads Up Football program, through USA Football. In addition, your child's participation in the Moody Family YMCA's 6-man football program promotes community values, and the Moody Family YMCA's 6-man football program gives our community's children the opportunity to participate in the same program that has functioned, for decades, as the feeder program to the State of Texas's most successful high school football team of all time, the Highland Park Scots."
