Moorland Family YMCA
If you’re looking to stay fit and healthy long past retirement, come work out with YMCA Active Older Adults! Several Dallas area YMCA branches sponsor special programs for active adults 55 and older. Some branches offer group classes like Low-impact Aerobics, Senior Power Hour, Basic Cardio, and Senior Pilates. Others offer joint conditioning and “Sit and Be Fit” classes. Some branches also offer special swim classes that are easy on the joints and muscles!
Several Dallas YMCA branches provide opportunities for seniors to socialize as well. Monthly pot luck luncheons may include dominos, cards, or bingo. Other branches host day trips, line dancing evenings and craft classes.
Come join our SilverSneakers program and be part of our great senior community! With the assistance of this great program and your Moorland Family YMCA, you can aim to get fit, stay strong, and live healthy!
SilverSneakers is a no cost fitness program provided for seniors through their health care plan. With SilverSneakers our seniors obtain a fitness membership that includes access to all basic YMCA amenities, our SilverSneakers classes, and assistance from our specially designated instructors, all at no cost to them provided that they are covered through their health care plan.
