Sachse Sports

The YMCA Youth Sports philosophy is to allow kids to participate in a noncompetitive program with an emphasis on fun, development of character, and fair play. We believe our youth sports programs help families and individuals grow personally, clarify values, improve relationships, appreciate diversity, develop leadership skills and most of all, have fun!

YMCA coaches lead players through drills and games that build skills, develop coordination and enhance a love of the game. We make sure everyone participates and we emphasize the development of character.

The goal of Small Fry Sports is to teach the basics of team sports including rules, techniques and safety practices. Your 3-5 year old will develop self-confidence and social skills through constant encouragement from coaches, parents, and other children.

Small Fry is a program that requires parental involvement during each scheduled class. Parents participate in classes by coaching, guiding and assisting their children in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to enhance their progress. Sport officials are always on hand to guide and help as well.

Parents will not receive a call from a “coach” before the 1st session. Your player will meet the coach at the 1st session.

All classes held at Sachse's First Baptist Church on 2412 3rd Street in Sachse.  For soccer we will meet on the fields to the west of the Church, for basketball in the gynasium using the north entry doors.
