Camp Grady Spruce is the resident camp of the YMCA of Metro Dallas. CGS is one of the most beautiful and oldest camps in Texas. For generations, camaraderie, joy, lifelong friendship and memories have been created along the shores of stunningly beautiful Possum Kingdom Lake.
Camp for kids and adults! Join us in one of our three programs: Summer Camp Program, Family and Group Camping, and Outdoor Education. We offer summer camps in the summer months, and Outdoor Education and Family and Group Camping during the school year.
Camp exists to deliver exceptional outdoor programs that inspire, build, and strengthen relationships with God, His creation, and each other!

My mother passed away last year. For me, it felt like I not only lost my mother but my best friend. I felt depressed and lonely, but attending Camp Grady Spruce was something I always looked forward to. It was a family tradition, my father and aunt spent many summers there as campers and staff members. After arriving at camp last year I realized I wasn't the only camper who lost a parent. The camp activities were a good distraction and I felt I could move forward. I plan to attend camp this year as a Counselor In Training, and hope to become a junior Counselor next year.Zach
