The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas has two mobile units! Since summer of 2022 the Tech Hub has been traveling all over the DFW metroplex. You might have seen it! Its an interactive STEM and gaming lab on wheels, aiming to provide more access to education and play for guest of all ages. Children, teens, and adults!
The Tech Hub aims to introduce children, specifically those in underserved areas, to the same opportunities to improve literacy in science and technology, help build critical thinking skills, and encourage them to take on a more active role in the community.
The Y also has its second mobile unit called the Rec Hub! Which provides recreational sports, from lawn games to sports like kickball! The Rec hub has served community parks, recreational centers, schools and even nursing homes!

Esports in the Tech Hub Truck
The Tech hub is serves as an esports gaming center for children to learn and compete with other Y's. The Tech Hub also offers children hands-on experience to learn robotics, coding, and other STEM programming.

The Dallas YMCA has a second unit called the Rec Hub, which will provide access to recreational games for families and events. This includes games to bring communities together.
STEM
Makes STEM Education fun! Start out easy with a banana piano. First setup takes seconds. Then make game controllers, musical instruments, and countless inventions. Advance to additional inputs and multi-key remapping up to 18 keys. Ages 8 to infinity.
Workforce Development
Workforce programming features real world professional roles in the Esports space while providing competitive gaming opportunities throughout the program. On site, The YMCA will provide staffing to execute these programs in alignment with YMCA Esports operations.
