SWIM TEAMS

Introduce your child to one of the most competitive and challenging sports around. Swimming!

Competitive swimming builds cardiovascular health, flexibility, muscle tone, and much more. Goal setting, confidence, and self-discipline are benefits.

Our swim team programs are designed to emphasize technique, endurance, sportsmanship, and most importantly, to have fun! To develop strong athletes, we believe that you must focus on more than just the physical aspect of training.

Swim meets are held regularly all year and we also offer Summer Leagues in the Dallas area.

Level I*

Swimmers must be able to complete 25 yards of freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke, as well as demonstrate some ability to shallow dive. Level I is an introduction to competitive swimming. Will develop butterfly, starts, turns, stroke technique and endurance.

Level II*

In Level II, further stroke work is implemented in addition to marked increase in yardage and intensity. Competitive swimming experience is necessary.

Level III*

Swimmers must be able to complete a technically correct 200 IM with appropriate turns under 2:30 (boys) or 2:45 (girls). Should be able to complete a supervised set of 10x100 freestyle in 1:30.

*The minimum requirement is to be able to swim one length of the pool Freestyle and one length backstroke. Contact the branch for try-out information. Some teams are very competitive and have waiting lists while other teams are not as competitive and take very beginner swimmers.
