YMCA OF METROPOLITAN DALLAS ANNOUNCES LOCAL PARTNERSHIP WITH SCOTTISH RITE FOR CHILDREN
DALLAS, TEXAS (July 18, 2023) The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas has welcomed a new local partnership with Scottish Rite For Children, which is No. 1 in the Southwest for pediatric orthopedics, for the Y’s basketball teams during the 2023-2024 seasons.
The Y’s youth basketball league has no tryouts, and everyone is welcome. Players can participate in every game and receive equal court time, regardless of skill level. Youth Basketball at the Y develops fundamental basketball skills, teaches teamwork and promotes physical activity in a team environment.
“Basketball is a beloved sport across the country and right here in North Texas,” said Curt Hazelbaker, President and CEO of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. “At the Y, we strive to expose different avenues of sports to athletes and those who just want to get in the game. We’re excited to continue to provide a safe place for youth to explore their interests with support from Scottish Rite for Children.”
Players will receive new custom jerseys as they enter the summer season, in addition to information and tips about hydration, nutrition, stretching, and injury prevention from the leading experts at Scottish Rite
