Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are groups of employees that form with a common bond, a shared characteristic, or a life experience. They provide support, help with career or personal development, and work to address issues inside and outside of the workplace. Who can be involved? ANYONE! Full or part-time staff are encouraged to engage with ERGs. All ERGs are open to everyone, whether you are a learner, supporter, or ally. The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas currently has 5 ERGs:
Women Empowered (WE) - Women's ERG
Campeones Unidos - Hispanic/Latino ERG
DREAM - African American ERG
BeYou - LGBTQ+ ERG
NextGen – Emerging Leaders ERG

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month in 2020, Campeones Unidos hosted our first ever KNOW YOUR RIGHTS Discussion Panel for YMCA staff and the community at large. Legal and law enforcement experts shared their experiences, expertise, and voices as related to immigration, visas, traffic stops, and detainment in an eye-opening virtual experience.
