ABOUT ELRN & OUR GOALS
NextGen is a resource-building network aiming to assist and empower all YMCA staff under the age of 35 to explore growth opportunities to be next-generation leaders within the YMCA movement.
OUR GOAL:
- Create more opportunities for staff to see that the Y has clear professional development opportunities on a local/association level.
- Staff under the age of 35 and those with lower tenure in the Y movement should be valued past their current job requirements and rewarded/recognized.
- The impact of NextGen supports the Dallas Y’s organizational culture, solidifies the Y as a viable and fulfilling career path, celebrates the intersectionality of its work, and further sustains the legacy of the YMCA locally and nationally.
