YMCA CATALYST INITIATIVE
SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY
When local and county shelter-in-place orders went into effect on Monday, March 16th, the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas pivoted traditional programs to provide free services and programs to our communities impacted by COVID-19. The CATALYST INITIATIVE was born, providing free emergency childcare to families with essential workers, food distribution to low-to-moderate income communities, pop-up supply distribution for necessary personal items and baby care, virtual learning opportunities for preschoolers and teens, blood drives and more. The Y is committed to the HEALTH & SAFETY OF ALL and is committed to continuing this work throughout the pandemic.
