The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas is debuting two new mobile units, unveiling the first this summer called the Tech Hub. It’s an interactive STEM lab and gaming truck aimed to provide more access to education and play for children and teens across the metroplex.
The goal of the Tech Hub is to introduce children, specifically those in underserved areas, to the same opportunities to improve literacy in science and technology, help build critical thinking skills, and encourage them to take on a more active role in the community.
The Y is also expected to unveil a second mobile unit later in 2022 called the Rec Hub, which will provide access to recreational sports.
Tech Hub offers children hands-on experience to learn robotics, coding, and other STEM programming. The hub will also double as an esports gaming center.
The Tech Hub vehicle is available for rentals. If interested, please fill out the interest room and a Mobile YMCA or Esports Director will contact you with further information.
