Volunteer

Welcome to the Volunteer page for the YMCA Dallas Turkey Trot! We are thrilled that you are interested in joining our team of volunteers for this fantastic event.

The YMCA Dallas Turkey Trot is a beloved annual tradition that brings together the Dallas community for a day of fun, fitness and giving back. Since 1968, the Turkey Trot has been a Thanksgiving morning staple, with thousands of participants coming together to run, walk, and trot through the streets of downtown Dallas.

But the Turkey Trot wouldn't be possible without the help of our amazing volunteers. As a volunteer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the event runs smoothly and that all participants have a safe and enjoyable experience.

There are many ways to get involved as a Turkey Trot volunteer. Here are just a few examples:

  • Help set up and break down before and after the race

  • Course Marshals: Help direct runners and walkers along the course, ensuring that everyone stays on track and remains safe.

  • Water Station Volunteers: Keep participants hydrated by handing out water and sports drinks at one of our many water stations along the course.

No matter what role you choose, you can be sure that your efforts will make a huge difference. Plus, volunteering at the Turkey Trot is a great way to give back to your community, meet new people, and have fun. We can't wait to have you join us!
