Youth Basketball

Thanks to the Y’s sports philosophy and basketball rules, kids participate in every game and receive equal playing time, regardless of skill level. This indoor basketball clinics are open to boys and girls.

Why play Youth Basketball at the Plano YMCA:

Spring Basketball League

Participants will receive 1 practice (weekday evening) per week and 1 game (Saturdays) per week.  The goal of the program is to teach the basics of team sports.  Our Youth Sports programs encourage and strengthen communities by placing a priority on family involvement, healthy competition rather than rivalry, team building as well as individual development and character building.

Ages: 3-12

Practice Time(s): Weekday Evenings after 5:30 PM (starting the week of March 26th)

Practice Location: Plano Y located at 3300 McDermott Rd, Plano, TX 75025 (inside building in gymnasium)

Game Time(s): Saturdays between 8 AM & 5 PM

Game Location: FISD Schools (schedule will be posted with actual school names & locations)

Note : Due to the number of registrants, we CANNOT GUARANTEE specific practice dates/times or game times.  We can GUARANTEE that each participant will receive 1 weekly practice (Mon - Fri after 5:30 PM) and 1 weekly game (Saturdays between 8 AM - 5 PM).  We will send out communication after registrations closes on March 22nd regarding specific TEAM Assignments and practice/game schedules.

Registration: Normal registration closes on March 19th; Late Registration will be ongoing until spots are filled and we can no longer accommodate any new registrants.
