

Reservations can be made three days in advance, starting at 4:30 am. For example, a class beginning at 8 AM on Monday, can be reserved any time after Friday at 4:30 am. Reservation booking closes at 10 pm each evening.

Each time slot will allow for 3 swimmers per lane. Only one hour usage per day per swimmer is allowed. A note on safety: Each swimmer should enter the pool from opposite sides, only stopping on their designated entry point. Swimmers are encouraged to keep their distance anytime they are not actively swimming laps. Above the surface kicking with a kick board will not be permitted while sharing a lane.
PWRFIT, our functional group training class, is available to Y members who have already made a PWRFIT purchase.
Due to physical distancing and limited capacity requirements, members will need to reserve their spot in a group exercise class, for ChildWatch services, and/or for lap lanes. Walk-ins will only be available if the class is NOT at maximum attendance. Reservations will still be required upon arrival.
What if I am having trouble making a reservation on the MINDBODY application or via your website (ymcadallas.org/reservations)?
Visit Member Services at your Y and ask for assistance with creating a reservation.
Do ALL branches classes and lap lanes require a reservation?
Yes, at this time, ALL classes and lap lanes at ALL branches will require a reservation to attend.
When can I reserve a spot? When do reservations become available?
Reservations for all classes and lap lanes will open three days in advance, beginning at 7 am. Reservation booking closes at 10 pm. Reservations are made on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis.
Does the reservation system close at any particular time prior to the class start time?
You can make a reservation if there is availability right up until class time.
What if I am late to my reserved class?
If you are unable to sign in or show up for your reserved class/reservation 5 minutes prior to your reservation window, it is possible that your spot may be given to another member. Please consider your reservation plans with this in mind.
When can I check in for my lap lane and/or group exercise class?
All reservations are allowed for check in 30 minutes before your scheduled time.
How many reservations can I make? Can I reserve spots for someone else (husband, friend, sibling, child, etc) at the same time that I make my reservation?
Each login has the capability to make only ONE reservation per class.
How will I know if my spot is reserved?
A notification confirmation will appear onscreen immediately after a reservation has been successfully made, whether it was done on the MINDBODY application or on the website.
What if lap lanes or the class I want to take is full?
You can choose to add your name to a wait list. You can do this via MINDBODY or on this webpage following the sign up steps, but choosing "wait list".
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
If you need to cancel, please follow our cancellation instructions.
Is there a penalty for making a reservation and not showing?
We are hopeful that members will be respectful of the need to make reservations for classes. However, if we notice a member abusing the system, we may suspend their ability to reserve classes or lap lanes. These incidences will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
If a class or lap lane is not full but I don’t have a reservation for it, can I still attend?
Yes! You are welcome to attend or arrive as a walk-in if the we are not full. If the class or are lap lanes are full and you don’t have a reservation, you will not be able to attend. Please continue to make a reservation on site so we can keep an eye on attendance patterns. If there is a spot upon arrival, please still make a reservation to guarantee your spot and for attendance purposes.
If I want to come to a class and I see that the reservations are full, can I just show up and hope that there is space?
You can, but a spot may not be available. If a class is full, we encourage you to continue to check MINDBODY for spot openings. The same applies for lap lanes.
Is there a limit as to how many classes I can attend/make reservations for in one day?
At this time, there is not a limit as to how many group exercise classes you can attend in a single day. However, if issues arise, additional limitations may need to be set.
