MEET THE SECRETARIAT
Hello, my name is Trisha Dasgupta and I am honored to be your 2021-2022 Secretary General! I have been in MUN since the eighth grade and my love and commitment to this program has only grown stronger over the past five years. MUN helped me to find my passion and my voice and I am committed to making sure this program is a wonderful experience for each of our delegates.
A little about me- I am a senior at Liberty High School, where I founded my campus’s first MUN branch. In addition to MUN, I am a student journalist and currently serve as the Editor-in-Chief for Liberty Wingspan, Liberty’s award winning newspaper. As a student journalist I have used my knowledge of international affairs and political diplomacy to inform my reporting: I have extensive coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic, immigration, and other current affairs.
My involvement with MUN and Wingspan has facilitated my passion for history, politics, and local activism. In my free time you can find me painting, knitting, or being obnoxious about my love for Taylor Swift and Billy Joel.
Hi! My name is Meghana (Meg) Anam and I will be serving as your Texas MUN Deputy Secretary General for 2021-2022! This will be my 5th year participating in Model UN conferences, either as a delegate, chair, or secretariat member. I am elated to be sharing my MUN experience with delegates in an in-person setting and hope to learn more about your viewpoints on urgent global topics!
To tell you more about myself, I am a senior at Independence High School in Frisco. At school, you may find me singing with my school’s a capella choir or participating in competition events for Business Professionals of America. Outside the classroom, I love involving myself in legislative advocacy at grassroots level organizations such as Indivisible TX Lege and Code Crimson. Some things I love to do for fun include watching Studio Ghibli films and driving to random boba shops in my city. I cannot wait to share my MUN journey with you all and I hope to learn more about international relations through your fruitful debates!
Hello, fellow delegates! My name is Arshia Narula and I am elated to be serving as your Texas Model UN Undersecretary of Conference! Participating in Model United Nations for the third year, I look forward to helping shape our delegates into the progressive thinkers and persistent leaders of the future.
For the 2021-2022 school year, I will be a junior at Liberty High School in Frisco, Texas. Currently, I am part of multiple organizations such as Business Professionals of America and I will also be leading the DECA District 7 as the Vice President of Campaigns and the Diamond Challenge International Student Advisory Board as the Creative Content Team Chair. Outside of school, I have combined my passions for innovation and advocacy to launch a social impact venture, Groundify. When I’m not performing classical repertoire on the saxophone or running my own startup, you can catch me watching The Office, playing with my Mini Goldendoodle puppy, or making matcha lattes! I’m excited about this coming year in Model United Nations and I hope, along with all of you, to make it one of the best years we’ve had so far!
