He assisted his clients with identifying lucrative sponsorships and took a hands-on approach to growing their brand on and off the field. Greg also focused on relationships, regularly meeting with team owners, managers, coaches, and other individuals to develop rapport and partnerships promoting the organization and GNA clientele. His experience and expertise spans from contract negotiation, investments, business management, finance, risk analysis, and sports trends.

Greg Nared’s experience in athlete management stems from his role as Vice President of Golf for the William Morris Agency in Beverly Hills, California. At William Morris, Greg was responsible for working directly with LPGA / PGA executives to promote the careers of athletes. Greg worked on contract negotiations, focused on improving salaries, negotiating other options in lieu of salary increases and the inclusion of provisions for injuries. He made recommendations to athletes based on long-term results as opposed to short-term benefits. Greg also worked on Brand and PR plans for athletes. Lastly, Nared worked very closely with Professional Golfer Extraordinaire Michelle Wie. He was responsible for day-to-day operations with the Wie family. He negotiated corporate sponsorship and appearance fees contracts, coordinated public relations, handled Michelle’s schedule, and worked as an adviser to Wie. Nared spent 15 years contributing to the success of Nike, Inc., beginning as an East Coast Field Representative for professional basketball players, then a Product Line Manager and finally a Business Affairs Manager for Tiger Woods and Michelle Wie. Greg spent eight years with Tiger Woods where he managed all aspects of business around Tiger including product development, budget, marketing, promotions, and public relations. He also served as a key advisor to Tiger in non-Nike business as well. Nared played a significant role in new business development for Nike Golf and Tiger, managed relationships with Tiger’s sponsors and helped generate over $10 million in incremental sales with key partners such as General Motors, Tag Heuer, EA Sports, American Express, and Upper Deck. Greg played a huge role in developing the Tiger Woods brand we know today. He also recruited and signed Michelle Wie to Nike making her the first high profile player from the LPGA to join Nike’s stable of athletes.

Greg was instrumental in the strategic development of NBA brand athletes including Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Penny Hardaway, and Gary Payton. He assisted Nike in storytelling of athletes, orchestrated sports marketing efforts, and advertising campaigns. As Product Line Manager for Nike Basketball (consisting of men’s, women’s, and Jordan apparel), he cemented the bond between Nike, key players, teams, and coaches.

A native of Wilmington, Ohio, Nared holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Maryland. Nared currently serves as a member on the Jr. NBA Advisory Council.
