Flag Football

The Moorland Family YMCA Flag Football program is offered in the fall and spring seasons.  It encourages healthy competition rather than rivalry, the value of participating over winning, and team building over individual glorification. This program has no tryouts and everyone is welcome. Thanks to the YMCA’s and Flag Football rules, kids participate in every game and receive equal playing time, regardless of skill level. The YMCA’s volunteer coaches will emphasize skill development and most importantly, having fun!

Participants should register based on the calendar grade of Fall 2021 to end of Summer 2022 school year.

Required: All participants must wear mouth guards.

Game locations are at Moorland at Oak Cliff Family YMCA, other local YMCAs and other Dallas locations.

Practice locations are at the YMCA or local offsite venues. 

Friend, coach and practice request accepted at the time of registration but are not guaranteed.

Coaches: Are volunteers, if you are interested in coaching please indicate so on your registration form.

Medals are provided for Kinder grades only.

Refund Policies

All Refund Requests must be made in writing at the branch. Submission of the Refund Request Form does not guarantee a refund of any amount. All forms are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must be approved by the YMCA Sports Director and Executive Director.

The refund amount given back will be determined by the date the refund is requested

Limited exceptions for emergencies only.
Refunds/makeups/transfers are NOT available for individually missed games/practices.

After First Game = No refund

21 days from Season start date = $30 include processing and jersey fee

22-30+ days from Season start date = 100% refund 

*All ONLINE registrations are held to this policy

NOTE:  Games cancelled due to weather conditions will be rescheduled (Max 2 games only)

Insufficient Funds

All returned checks, bank drafts, credit card charges will be billed a service fee of $25.

Late Registration Fee

Late registrations will be assessed an additional $25 fee.
