At The Coppell Family YMCA
Our Grassroots cricket program is offered in the fall, spring and summer seasons. It consist of and 8 week program designed to teach the fundamentals of cricket in a fun and instructional way. Each week will consist of 1 practice (weeknight) and 1 modified practice/game Saturday. As the season progresses players will understand and master the fundamentals of cricket.
2023 Summer Participants should register based on the calendar grade of Fall 2022 to end of Summer 2023 school year.
Jaafar Shahabuddin is an International Cricket Council accredited Cricket Coach that has served as a Professional Player and Coach in North America and abroad. Having grown up in Coppell and climbed through the various levels of competitive cricket across North America, Jaafar is very passionate about building a platform that allows more youngsters in the community to participate in the sport, and to create an environment where the game can be enjoyed at all levels.

*Dates may be subject to change Game Location: Wagon Wheel Practice Field - Cricket Pitch Practice Location: Wagon Wheel Practice Field - Cricket Pitch Friend/Coach requests are accepted on registration forms but are not guaranteed. YMCA reserves the right to add any player(s) to a roster if necessary. Coaches: Are volunteers that must register for a Criminal Background Check with Athlete Protection training. If you are interested in coaching please indicate so on your registration form and click on the link of Volunteer Coach on the left sidebar. Cricket Youth League Registration Adult Cricket LeagueOur Adult Cricket Program consist of and 10 weeks of practices. Each team receives a 4 hour time slot on the Coppell Cricket Pitch. Players must register individually but can request to play on a certain team.
Teams will receive a 4-hour slot to practice on the Cricket pitch in Coppell. Rules:
Failure to comply with the rules above will result in the forfeiture of your usage.
Cricket pitch will be assigned on a 11-week basis. All players must be registered and paid by the last day of registration. Groups will be assigned a slot through a draft system. The draft order will be assigned by a random draw. Team captains will pick based on the available slots.
Once a group has a slot, they will have first right of refusal for the next season if they are registered and paid by the end of that registration.
Practice Location: Wagon Wheel Practice Field - Cricket Pitch Team requests are accepted on registration forms.
