AGES 5 to 21

Introduce your child to one of the most complete sports around. Competitive swimming develops aerobic endurance and is one of the most beneficial forms of cardiovascular exercise. This sport provides flexibility and muscle toning, in addition to developing self-confidence, self-discipline, and goal setting. Open for ages 5 to 21 years of age.

The Riptides swim in a year-round YMCA swim league with 8 other local YMCAs. We strive to foster a LOVE for the sport of swimming; as with all Y sports, the child first, the sport second.  The Riptides swim from mid-August to the end of July. They also welcome additional summer-only swimmers from May 15th - the end of July.

They competed with 400 other swimmers from 14 teams from across the state. They won the overall team-high point award and 14 individual high-point winners. The Riptides are a year-round swim program for kids 5-21 who compete in the Dallas YMCA Swim League. Y swimming is a great way to build a lifelong passion for swimming while making memories and friends that will last a lifetime. For more information, please email Head Coach Alisha Garrett or use the swim assessment link on the flyer to receive info about upcoming tryouts. (Space is limited)

Each swimmer will be grouped by age and ability. A swim team assessment is required to ensure proper placement of your swimmer.
