T-Ball, Baseball, and Girls Softball Teams

The focus in our leagues is to have fun, meet new friends and play in a non-competitive environment. Y Baseball is designed to teach young baseball players the fundamentals of the game. Players will learn how to catch, throw, and bat in a fun team atmosphere. 


Girls Softball: Instructional league meant to teach the game and skills to new and existing players. This program is not meant for the very experienced player.

Registration - February 1st-April 25th 2020.  
late registration begins thereafter. 

Games – Starting May 16th, season consists of 8 games.

Games are played at the YMCA, Huffhines Park, Custer/Renner and Berkner Parks. Games are played on Saturday morning and/or Thursday evening.  No games Memorial Day weekend.

Practices – Baseball practices are on the Richardson YMCA's baseball fields or local parks. One weeknight practice per week scheduled by the volunteer head coach.

Equipment - All equipment is provided with the exception of player mitts.

T-Ball, Softball, Coach, Modified Player Pitch and Player Pitch:

Coach Pitch 1st and 2nd Grades
Modified Player Pitch 3rd-4th Grades
Player Pitch 5th-8th Grades
Girls Softball Ages 6-11 / Kinder - 6th Grade

*Girls can play on baseball teams if desired.

Small Fry T-Ball

45 minute classes for boys and girls ages 3 & 4.  The program is designed to teach the basics of rules, techniques and safety practices of the sport. Each player will receive a small fry t-shirt and participation medal.

Cost: $67 for Y members  l $87 for non-member

Registration is open until the start of the first session or until sessions are full, whichever occurs first.
