American Tae Kwon Do or American Karate contributes to increased physical strength, flexibility, balance, control, discipline, and spirituality. Students train with others at their own skill level progressing from basic stances, punches, blocks, and kicks to the study of more advanced Katas (patterns of movement) and defense objectives.

Small Fry Karate

These are scheduled 30 minute classes for BOYS and GIRLS ages 3 & 4. Small Fry Karate is a martial arts program that focuses on improving your child's listening and motor skills. Classes are fast-paced, fun filled, educational and motivational. Our Small Frys love Karate and parents love watching their kids learn and grow in a positive, well disciplined and encouraging atmosphere.

There are eight major skills our instructors focus on when training children ages three and four, those skills are: Focus, Control, Balance, Teamwork, Memory, Discipline, Coordination and Fitness.

Each student will receive a t-shirt. There are never any late fees for Small Fry Sports.

Session dates:  4 weeks - meeting Saturday mornings from 8:30 to 9:00am 

Spring: February 8th-29th
Summer: July 11th-August 1st
Winter: November 7th, 14th, 21st and December 5th. 

Cost: $30 for Y members | $45 for non-member

Location: Richardson YMCA gym.

The Four Goals of Small Fry:

1. Kids have FUN!
2. It is a chance for parents to get involved in their children's activity at an early age.
3. Kids will receive their first "uniform" at a young age
4: Kids will learn the basic skills and techniques.
