American Tae Kwon Do or American Karate contributes to increased physical strength, flexibility, balance, control, discipline, and spirituality. Students train with others at their own skill level progressing from basic stances, punches, blocks, and kicks to the study of more advanced Katas (patterns of movement) and defense objectives.
Small Fry Karate
These are scheduled 30 minute classes for BOYS and GIRLS ages 3 & 4. The Small Fry Karate program is a martial arts program specifically designed for children ages three and four. This program focuses on improving your child's listening and motor skills. Our Small Fry Classes are fast-paced, fun filled, educational and motivational. Our Small Frys love Karate and parents love watching their kids learn and grow in a positive, well disciplined and encouraging atmosphere.
There are eight major skills our instructors focus on when training children ages three and four, those skills are: Focus, Control, Balance, Teamwork, Memory, Discipline, Coordination and Fitness.
Small Fry Karate is a program that requires parental involvement during each scheduled class. Parents participate in classes by coaching, guiding and assisting their children in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to enhance their progress.
Each student will receive a t-shirt. There are never any late fees for Small Fry Sports.
Session dates: 4 weeks - meeting every Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9 am
Summer: July 8th.
Cost: $30 for Y members | $45 for non-member
Location: Small Fry sessions are held at the Richardson Family YMCA gym.

1. Kids have FUN!
2. It is a chance for parents to get involved in their children's activity at an early age.
3. Kids will receive their first "uniform" at a young age
4: Kids will learn the basic skills and techniques.
