People and Nutrition Senior Food Program

What’s eating you? North Texas Food Bank is coming to Moorland YMCA as a new distribution site! People and Nutrition (PAN) is a Commodity Supplemental Food Program that provides nutritious foods at no cost to eligible participants.

So, what does this eligibility look like? If you are a resident of the 10 counties served in the area and 60 years of age or older, you qualify as long as you also meet additional governmental income guidelines! You do not have to be a U.S. Citizen to qualify.

Let’s break this down even further. Here at Moorland YMCA, eligible participants are encouraged to apply with PAN and receive their package on-site once a month beginning on the 3rd Thursday! In honor of Thanksgiving, our friends at PAN thought it best to open an additional date for pickup, this November 19th just in time to prepare those holiday dishes!

Check out what’s available in the list below!

* Canned Fruit, Canned Meat, Canned Vegetables

* Cereals, Milk

* Cheese, Pasta, Rice, Peanut Butter, Dried Beans

Sounds good? Make sure you provide the necessary documents, so that YOU can enroll in this program. This includes Proof of Age, Residence, and Income.

The Fine Print: All recipients must recertify every 6 months. If, by chance, you miss two months of pickup, you must recertify.
