Trotting into Thanksgiving: A Recap of the 56th Annual Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot

Family At The Turkey Trot

Thanksgiving in Dallas was spectacular this year as nearly 18,000 participants, accompanied by over 700 furry friends, gathered for the 56th Annual Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot presented by Texas Health. It continues to be a beloved Dallas Thanksgiving tradition with a consistent commitment to support a healthier North Texas through YMCA Community Health programs. These programs play a vital role in promoting wellness, reducing the risk of disease, and helping individuals reclaim their health. We are so happy this year's trot continued to be a fantastic celebration of community, fun, and, most importantly, supporting a great cause.

This year's standout feature is the inaugural Costume Contest, which added a creative layer of excitement to the festivities. Participants showcased their creativity and spirit, turning the trot into a lively and colorful spectacle. From turkeys to Santa, the variety of costumes truly captured the essence of the holiday season.

The success of the Turkey Trot wouldn't have been possible without the generous support of sponsors and the dedication of volunteers. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all sponsors who played a crucial role in making the race a reality. Additionally, we want to give a special shout-out to the volunteers whose hard work and enthusiasm contributed to the smooth execution of the event.
