DALLAS (October 8, 2020) – The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas will host the 17th Annual Key Leaders Luncheon on Friday, October 9 at 11:30am. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the event will be held virtually this year and the public is welcome to join the event to listen to the conversation at no cost. The event will be live streamed and can be viewed by visiting www.ymcadallas.org/KEYLEADERS at 11:30am CST on Friday.

The event will feature Deborah Ferguson from NBC 5 as the host and Anne Chow, the Chief Executive Officer of AT&T Business as the Keynote Speaker. Anne and her organization of over 30,000 employees are responsible for serving nearly 3 million business customers in upwards of 200 countries and territories around the world. Most recently, she was named to Fortune Magazine’s “10 Powerful Women On Your Radar” list and “Future 50: North Texas Innovators and Disruptors You Need To Know.”

“Although we will miss being together in person this year, the YMCA’s mission is about community and we want to give people an opportunity to connect with each other,” said Curt Hazelbaker, President and CEO of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. “I’m looking forward to sharing how the Y has served the community through COVID and what the Y will look like post-COVID. The Y’s mission includes ensuring we keep our community healthy in spirit, mind and body. When people are in need, the Y has always been there and we will continue to provide much needed services to the community.”

“I also want to thank Anne Chow for joining us as the Keynote speaker. She has a long list of achievements – most recently as the first woman and first woman of color to be named CEO at AT&T Business in the company’s history. She is an inspiring leader and we look forward to hearing from her during her Keynote and a live Q&A during the event,” continued Hazelbaker.

The annual Key Leaders event encourages Dallas area business leaders to become more involved in the community by highlighting the YMCA’s future strategies for strengthening the foundation of our community by nurturing youth development, energizing healthy living and inspiring social responsibility. The YMCA Key Leaders Luncheon event is designed to connect key community and business leaders with the timely local issues that have regional impact while also sharing a few accomplishments and priorities of the Dallas YMCA.

Sponsors of this year’s event include D CEO (Media Sponsor), powered by sponsor DHD Films, Oncor, PwC, Allyn Media, Bank of America, Haynes and Boone and Children’s Health.  Special thanks to NBC 5 DFW.
