Youth Ballet Spring Session

Our Youth Ballet Sessions are aimed at teaching basic movement and performance techniques of ballet, and perfecting technique for experienced dancers. Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September to December and will end in a recital at Bishop Lynch High School. Classes are limited to 15 participants and registration fills quickly. Draft options are available.

DRESS CODE:

Ballet attire is not required to participate, however it is suggested that black leggings and a T-shirt is worn to promote free movement and not cause injury. You may also bring your child in comfortable clothing so they can move freely while learning with the instructor. The classes will be in the Aerobic Studio upstairs. If you are not familiar with our building any Membership Representative can direct you to the correct room.

Ages 7-10 years old

Etoile Ballet

Important Dates

Spring 2020 Ballet Important Dates

January 14

First day of class

Measurements for ballet costumes done.

Classes should plan to arrive 15 minutes early, or stay 15 minutes late to complete

February 25 & February 27

Costume try-on (date may be adjusted depending on ship dates)

April 7 & April 9

Parent observation days. Childwatch will be available for non-members for the class duration only

March 17 & March 19

NO CLASSES WILL BE HELD

May 5

Ticket pickup (Families will receive 2 VIP tickets, and general admission)

May 7

Picture Day & dress rehearsal. No makeup days for pictures.

May 12

Recital at Bishop Lynch Performing Arts Center

Ballerina drop-off will begin at 5:15PM-5:30PM (based on age group).

Picture Package details: Each ballerina will have a picture taken during dress rehearsal. The picture package contains 1- 8x10, 1- 5x7, 1- 4x6, and 4- wallets. Digitals will be available via Dropbox approximately two weeks after the recital. Picture packages can be picked up from the YMCA and parents will be notified via REMIND APP.
